Don’t drink and drive

Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a motorist with drinking and driving offences as a result of a vehicle stop in The Blue Mountains.

On February 3, 2018 shortly before 1:30am, an officer on patrols observed a motor vehicle being operated in a manner as to question the driver’s sobriety. This led to the officer stopping the vehicle on Jozo Weider Boulevard and upon speaking to the driver it became evident that he was under the influence of alcohol. This resulted in his arrest and transport to detachment for processing.

Charged is 48 year-old Wayne GOTHREAU of Mississauga, he is facing charges of Driving a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol and Driving With More Than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood. He is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on February 15, 2018.
